South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, a Republican, has signed a measure that largely prohibits performing abortions if the unborn child’s fetal heartbeat has been detected.

The measure stipulates that abortions could be permitted to guard the mom’s life and well being or if there’s a “deadly fetal anomaly.” Abortions would even be permitted if the being pregnant resulted from rape or incest and the doubtless gestational age of the kid just isn’t larger than 12 weeks.
