Federal prosecutors have charged Consultant George Santos of New York with 13 counts of cash laundering, stealing public cash, wire fraud and making false statements to Congress.
Prosecutors mentioned the fees resulted from “fraudulent schemes and brazen misrepresentations” designed to complement Mr. Santos, mislead donors and win a seat in Congress as a Republican from Queens.
