Recently, there has been a lot of concern about the X platform not taking strong action against hate speech. Even after reporting offensive content, some posts that promote hate speech are still visible.
The X platform’s internal reporting system has been criticized for not considering posts that say “Hitler was right” or mention a “final solution” for Jewish people as violations of their safety policies. This has raised concerns about the platform’s commitment to fighting hate speech.
Even though X claims to have policies against “Hateful Conduct” and mentions that it doesn’t allow attacks on people based on various factors, including race and ethnicity, some posts promoting hate speech have not been removed.
A report by the Center for Countering Digital Hate found that X continued to host content promoting antisemitism in many cases.
Despite efforts to report such content, X’s reporting system should have taken action in several instances. Some posts containing offensive language are still visible on the platform.
This situation has led to criticism and raised questions about the platform’s stance on hate speech and its commitment to ensuring a safe and respectful online environment.
