Two weeks in the past, a pair of Russian Su-27 fighters primarily based in Crimea, Occupied Ukraine, intercepted a USAF MQ-9 drone in worldwide airspace over the Black Sea. The fighters made a number of more and more aggressive passes on the drone, first dropping aviation gasoline in what gave the impression to be an try to break sensors on the MQ-9, after which one of many Russian fighters collided with the drone.
